Originally, one of the finest V8 engines in the world, the Aston Martin 5.3 litre unit. What you see here, is the Aston Martin 32 valve 6 litre unit developed by Dave Ellis Motorsport. This power plant is exceptionally finely tuned, and provides 700 BHP of power, pushing the GT 700R up to speeds of at least 240 mph.

Dave enjoyed so much success and reliability with his original Aston Martin V8, that it became the focal point for his new project. Front engined, with a Hewland gear box in the back, the car is perfectly balanced, providing exceptional handling, and phenomonal acceleration figures.

Here we can see the 6 litre V8 on the dyno, in quite early tune spec. It was showing just short of 700 BHP on this day.
